KeiraThe concept here was to appear as if the model is floating away. No Photoshop trickery here though...Her lower half is on an ottoman and she is doing a sit-up. took a few shots to get it to look relaxed - keira makes it look easy!960,960Direct Sale

Wood Nude #1
This series of "wood Nudes" is from a gallery exhibit in which I participated at the end of 2009. John Skau, a talented artist living in High Point, lost his struggle with cancer in 2007. All of his unused raw materials - wood - were donated to an arts group called Bricolage. Bricolage gave the materials to a variety of artists and told us to create works from the raw materials in order to have a memorial show in John's honor. John sculpted with wood - he made amazing baskets and wall hangings using mostly scraps of wood discarded from the furniture industry. When I saw the wood I immediately saw the shapes mimicking the curves of the body. I photographed the pieces and used the textures of the wood as an overlay as well as a vicual element. Most of these images are a composite of five layers in Photoshop. My thanks to model Emilie for helping we with this project!
The show was amazing. There was an extremely diverse representation of the wood. It was impressive to see Johns raw materials transformed into so many different visions. John's memory will remain. A google search of his name will give links to many of his works.

Fallen Angel #1
This piece was one in a series of images that I call "Fallen Angels". I submitted these images to a juried show at the Whelan Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. The show was titled "Night of a Hundred Angels". Two of the pieces were selected for display and one image took the Bronze star. Both are due to be published in a book for the show.
